Paul-Boris Kertsman

Pianist and conductor Paul-Boris Kertsman was born in New York in 1998 and grew up in a musical family in Austria and the USA.

Paul-Boris studies piano with Stanislaw Tichonow at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory Eisenstadt (Diploma I 2019) and conducting with Simeon Pironkoff at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Since 2016 he also receives lessons from Sophie Rachlin in Vienna.

In 2016 he founded the Horizon Youth Orchestra with a fellow student and has since performed three concerts in Vienna, among others with violinist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian and baritone Liviu Holender. Since 2017 he is also music director of the Choir Association Chorvereinigung Jung-Wien.
